Applying for jobs and networking
Navigating the current job market has become a balancing act across a rotation of three major platforms: LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and ZipRecruiter. While this trio covers a lot of ground, my experience with ZipRecruiter has been paradoxical; despite my deep skepticism and general lack of trust in the platform's reliability, it surprisingly yielded a callback for a ServiceNow Developer position, forcing me to keep it in the mix. My strategy is built around a manageable target of submitting one to three applications daily, aiming for steady progress rather than burnout. However, executing this consistently has been my primary struggle. I find that while the intent is there, my follow-through fluctuates, and I often miss this daily quota. Consequently, my current focus is shifting from simply finding listings to building the necessary discipline to make that daily application goal a strict, non-negotiable habit.
